About Us

The uniqueness of Guardians of the Torah(Shomrei Ha Torah) is in it's commitment to welcoming and ministering to all Jews.  Guardians of the Torah is a synagogue without walls, open to all who wish to enter, to all who are searching for a spiritually rich alternative to the traditional Synagogue or Temple.

Guardians make a special effort to reach out to our Jewish police officers, fire fighters, EMTs and military personnel and their families.
Guardian's history
Rabbi Richard Baroff and Art Krinsky launched Guardians of the Torah
(Shomrei HaTorah) while boating in Alpharetta in the summer of 2006.
Guardians became a reality in 2007. We began meeting in July for Breakfast with the Rabbi at local restaurants.
At about the same time we started religious and Hebrew instruction for the children, and tutoring for Bar and Bat Mitzvah. We prayed together on the High Holy Days. We began Shabbat observances in the Fall.
We continue to  add new programs and services.
Guardians of the Torah has been incorporated in the State of Georgia, and is recognized as 501 (c)(3) Public Charity by the Internal Revenue Service.
